Your Cool-or-Heat Pad -- A 56" x 29" cotton & foam pad (small fluid filled coils run throughout pad). A small, quiet thermoelectric pump (8.5"x5.5"x6.5") is attached to mid section of pump via flexible hose.
COOL Setting -- the thermoelectric pump unit provides constant cooling for maximum comfort. You can use the sleep pad on either side: coil side facing up or padded cushion side facing up.
Coil side up is great for people who suffer from night sweats and need instant cooling (this side is colder, please consult your doctor for long term use)
The padded cushion side is recommended for people who like to stay cooler while sleeping or relaxing. For best results in this position, it is recommended to turn the unit ON 15-20 minutes prior to using the sleep pad.
We recommend owners to try both above options to see which cooling comfort works for them
HEAT Setting - On the heat setting, the pad will heat up to 98 F, shutoff, then turn back on at 92F (the heat setting has a shutoff at 98F for your safety). You can use the sleep pad on either side: coil side facing up or padded cushion side facing up. The heat setting is recommended for preheating your bed only. Do not sleep while set on the heat setting for more than 30 minutes.
Easy Installation & Operation --
Place the mattress pad on top of your mattress. You may place mattress pad under or on top of your fitted sheet.
Place the thermoelectric power unit next to your bed, toward the head of the bed. Be sure not to block airflow around the thermoelectric power unit, lay on its side or cover the power unit.
The Thermoelectric pump resevoir comes pre-filled with water. No need to add water during the initial installation.
Plug the thermoelectric power unit into a 120 volt power outlet
Flip the switch on the thermoelectric power unit to the desired operating mode, COOL or HEAT. Make sure that the remote control is switched to the ON position.
Proper Maintenance - It is recommended to add a small amount of water to the pump resevoir on the thermoelectric power unit ONCE A MONTH. (small medicine syringe is included to add water to resevoir)
