Posture Pump® Cervical Disc Hydrator®
Posture Pump Model 1000
Portable Disc Decompression DeviceLightweight and cost effective, this apparatus employs
Expanding Ellipsoidal Decompression (EED®). Compressed cervical joints and discs are simultanousely decompressed and aligned in a curved configuration.
MRI studies under EED® via Posture Pump® have concluded that this unique patented action separates the joints at the anterior and posterior aspect of the discs in a ration coinciding with their natural wedged spacing, allowing disc protrusions to be drawn into the disc proper. Continuous expansion and contraction of ellipsoidal air cells is employed to create alternating hydration and milking of the invertebral discs. Longer expansion periods are employed for curve restoration.
EED® does not remove the normal curved shape from the spine as in linear traction and is therefore not harmful to natural spinal curves.

Why do Health Care professionals nationwide recommend Posture Pump®?Posture Pump® gradually lifts, stretches and separates the neck and back joints into their
proper curved shape. As the spine is stretched and curved over uniquely angled air cells, compression is removed from the discs and nutrient-rich fluid can now be absorbed.
Your spine will wear unevenly and age rapidly if it loses its natural shape. When the spine has lost its natural curved shape, the discs are compressed and rich lubricating fluid is unable to penetrate. This causes premature aging in the form of stiff dry joints. When the spine is properly curved, nutrient-rich fluid is "imbibed" or drawn into the discs by their "sponge-like bellows action," promoting spinal balance and joint wearability.
Q. My muscles were sore a day or two after my Posture Pump® workout. Is this normal?
A. Just like performing any new exercise, an aggressive workout with the Posture Pump® can temporarily make you sore. To reduce this occurrence, inflate the exerciser at lower levels and keep your workouts under 10 minutes for the first 2 weeks. This will allow your body to gradually adapt to a more aggressive workout.
Q. . After I’ve finished my workout on the Posture Pump® Elliptical Back Rocker™ (Model 2000) my back feels stiff when I’m trying to get off.
A. In addition to the above question/answer it’s best to stretch your back out prior to getting off the unit. After you’ve completed your workout on the Posture Pump® Elliptical Back Rocker™ and you’ve deflated all air cells; gently bring your knees to your chest one at a time for 5 seconds each. Then bring both knees to your chest (the best you can) and hold for 5 seconds then release. Gently roll off the exerciser onto your left or right side slowly and carefully before rising.
Q. I’ve heard that using ice on a sore back is a good thing, can I use it while on the Posture Pump®?
A. Yes. When using the Posture Pump® Elliptical Back Rocker™ you can place a cold gel pack over one of the air cells, usually the lowest pouch, is recommended to speed recovery from stiffness and discomfort. Chronic stiffness and discomfort may take 30-60 days or more to adequately subside. Be sure to cover the gel pack with cloth; never place gel pack directly against skin! Consult your health care professional prior to beginning any exercise program.
Q. .Should I stretch or do a warm-up prior to starting the Posture Pump®?
A. Yes, please be sure to read and follow the instructions to your specific Posture Pump® model, including the warm-up and follow all cautions on instruction sheet.
