To use with Teeter Hang Ups Inversion Tables purchased before October 2005, you must purchase the Traction Handles Adapter Kit, which comes with modified roller hinges for your inversion table.

Using The Inversion Traction Handles
Once you've inverted, slowly reach up toward the Invesion Traction Handles. If the inversion table returns upright, you will need to reset the main shaft to shorter height settng before proceeding.
Hold onto the Inversion Traction Handles. Your elbows should be slightly bent while the rest of your upper body is still comfortably on the inversion bed. The greater the bend in the arm, the more aggressive the stretch. Start with a narrow angle and gradually increse until you find your ideal level of traction.
Gently push against the handles and slowly straighten your arms. Take a deep breath and exhale, attempting to relax the muscles in your lower back
Since you have adjusted the amin shaft to a shorter setting, it is likely that you will be unable to return upright by simply bringing your arms to your sides. Place your hands on the inversion traction handles for support. Bend your knees to shift your body weight to the foot side of the pivot point. Do not lift your head or try to sit up.
Inversion Traction Handles are also usefull for oscillation. Oscillation is the technique of rocking back and forth, letting spinal fluid re-hydrate the discs. At the correct height setting the inversion table should automatically oscillate as you increase and decrease pressure on the Inversion Traction Handles. Set the inversion table at your ideal height setting specified in your Teeter Hang Ups Inversion Table Owners Manual. At a 45 degree angle, alternately increase and decrese pressure on the inversion table handles.
